Virginia Beach Fishing Charters, Deep Sea Fishing in Virginia Beach
From June to March it's all about Virginia Beach fishing, and to be more precise it's all about Virginia Beach deep sea fishing, or Virginia Beach fishing if you prefer. June is when Captain Mike steps onto the Gannet where he will navigate out of Hatteras Inlet for the last time, at least until the following spring season. He will make his way up the coast to the VA state line, around False Cape and into a new port in Rudee Inlet where he will gear up for some big time Virginia sport fishing and then Virginia Beach striper fishing later in the season.
Virginia Beach fishing can result in some very large "beasts" that can often top 50 pounds. Virginia striper, also called rockfish by many of the old timers put on a great display of strength when hooked especially if you happen to hang one on light tackle. And, once you fight one of these fish and then enjoy one at the dinner table you will know why striper fishing gets so much attention from so many anglers aound the world.

Cape Hatteras Sport Fishing, Hatteras Deep Sea Fishing April 1 to June 1
If it's April 1rst then Captain Mike and the Gannet are sport fishing in Hatteras for tuna, dolphin, and all the available Hatteras sport fishing species. The fishing off of Hatteras is some of North Carolina's best and being that Cape Hatteras reaches out into the ocean some 60 miles the ride to the Gulf Stream is very short which means more fish time.
For nearly six weeks the Gannet will fish in Hatteras where you can rely on Captain Mike to use his 35 years of Hatteras sport fishing knowledge to deliver you a great fishing trip with plenty of fish and even more great memories to recall over and over for years to come. The Gannet will make port at Oden's Dock and will call Hatteras Inlet home port until June 10th at which time Captain Mike will run the Gannet north to her new port in Rudee Inlet.
From June 12th thru til spring again the Gannet will be in Virginia Beach docked inside Rudee Inlat. This is where Captain Mike will treat his anglers to the best Va Beach sport fishing he can deliver. From June 12th through March the Gannet will be making runs offshore for tuna, dolphin, wahoo, and other popular Virginia Beach deep sea species. When the offshore season ends it will be back to Virginia Beach inshore fishing for the striper season. At which time the circle will be complete until the next spring when Captain Mike and the Gannet start again in Hatteras, NC.
Virginia Beach Striper Fishing Season is here!
